The Beginning

Did I really just make a blog?   That fast?  O yes I did!  I have had the desire to do this for over a year.  So here I go.  Please join me.  Topics will vary - hence the name of the blog.  It also describes me to a degree.  I am known for being silly and having fun.  I keep life simple.  And when the situation calls for it - serious.  

This is a place for me to write and share from my heart.  The opinions are mine.  I am sharing it with you to enjoy, laugh along and maybe even at times, be encouraged.  I love to encourage people and it is one of my spiritual gifts, so I pray that God uses this format to hone my abilities in this area. 

I have also learned from other blogs that I follow that people read differently.  One person reads a sentence and they laugh at the sarcasm implied; another reads the same sentence, sees nothing funny, and is offended.   I am sarcastic - runs in the family.  Runs deep.  Runs wide.  The trait has been passed down to the next generation.  So much so, that when I asked my dear daughter what foreign language she would like to take, she immediately (and that is literal) said, "Is sarcasm a foreign language?  I am really good at that."   Much laughter ensued and for once, I wished it was a valid course.  She would get an 'A'.

All of that to say - if you struggle with sarcasm at times and you read something that confuses you - ask me about it.  It is never my intention to offend anyone on purpose.  When in doubt, ask.  I will do the same for you!
